Far from everyday life. In one of the most beautiful areas of Dolomites. Val Pusteria is really like you may imagine: harmonious and winking, rich in woods, lakes, torrents, cascades and meadows but also characterized by small groups of farms clinged on the slopes of the whole valley. It introduces it-self with Plan de Corones, considered a real sanctuary for skiers and lovers of Winter sports, with the wonderful scenary of the Tre Cime (Three Peaks), among the most beautiful mountains in the world, and with the wordly villages Dobbiaco and Brunico. Its verdant panoramic views formed by gentle slopes and declivities, make this is the ideal place to spend an holiday relaxing in a pure nature.

Pusteria Valley extends on the Eastern part of Alto Adige and offers some of the most impressive scenaries of the the whole Alps. Its mountains have bizarre unique forms, just like those in the High Pusteria, around Sesto, where the aligned peaks form a natural sun-dial. Set on the Southern more sunny side of the Alps chain, Val Pusteria grants good weather all the year long as well as certain snow and amusement without limits on the skis.

In Dobbiaco you may also start discovering the beauties of the Alpine world, with the magic charme of Tre Cime, the marvel of the sheets of water with the background of mountains, the relaxing atmospheres on the sunny banks of Dobbiaco and Landro lakes.

Further you may experience a real adventure in contact with various animals in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park. The itinerary starts at the Alpine Hut and goes down to Malga Fanes and to the cave where the skeletons of cave bears were found in 1987: a species prefering a vegetarian feeding that extinguished 11.000 years ago but is now slowly coming back to our Alps. Then we reach the lakes of Colli Alti (High hillls) through the narrow wooded Fojedora valley and then, following a clear fresh stream, we reach the huts at 2121 meters. Going down through the Foresta Valley we arrive on the Braies lake (1494 m.). All this in a breathtaking natural environment.

We close our trip with an itinerary on the traces of knights, among castles and fortresses. One of the most interesting excursions is the one including Gais where raises the Casanuova Castle (Castel Neuhaus). It was built in the first half of the XIII century and hosted one of the last minstrels, Oswald von Wolkenstein (1377-1445), while now it has been turned into an hotel. A last stage in Campo Tures to visit the Tures Castle: it belonged the Tures dynasty and became a huge house during the XV and XVI centuries. In the chapel you may see the particularly relevant frescos of the Pacher pictorial school, it is also worth visiting the armoury, the room of the princes and the library.
